To Danwill. If you check your physics you will realize that a plasma could not exist without giving off light. The fact is that light along with all other particles took time to evolve, otherwise those other particles could not have held light captive.

Large Hadron Collider I believe that the basic premise behind the LHC is flawed in its inception. The LHC is going to smash together elements at near light sppeds to generate new particles that were present at the moment of the Big Bang. Not even close.

Why are we building a large collider. According to the latest known knowledge there were no particles formed at the moment of the Big Bang. They took about 3 thousand years to evolve. Then these particles held light captive for additional thousands of years.
